Dear Friends of LIFA:

Legal Immigrants For America joins The Remembrance Project in demanding a public apology from defense attorney Mark Stephens.  We also recommend the State Bar of Tennessee to sanction and censure attorney Mark Stephens for the reasons set-forth below.

In an article published in Breitbart, it was reported that Mark Stephens, defense attorney for illegal alien who was charged with “negligent homicide” after killing 22 year old Pierce Corcoran, told the judge that “his client was not leaving the country and deserved to stay in the U.S.”  Stephens also wrote in a motion to the court that the illegal alien was a “success” in the Tennessee community and that he “suffered great sacrifice” to come to America illegally…”

It is apparent that attorney Stephens, chose his words with intent to harm.  Stephen’s cold, callous and deliberate actions show intentional malice to inflict emotional harm upon the Corcoran family and their friends.  Stephens re-victimized the entire Corcoran family, and he must not be allowed to get away with this malicious behavior.

Stephen’s words are also offensive to the legal immigrants who emigrated the right way and followed the laws of this great nation.  Stephens has brought shame to the legal profession and scoffs at our laws.  There is no doubt that Stephens should be censured and sanctioned.

We ask the public to demand attorney Mark Stephens make a public apology to the Corcoran family, whose son Pierce was killed by an illegal alien.

Write and call the Community Law Office  (865) 594-6120, 1101 Liberty St., Knoxville, TN, 37919.  Also call your Tennessee representatives to speak up against attorney Mark Stephen’s abhorrent behavior.

Sincerely,
