A new candidate, Jeremy Liggett, has emerged to take on Stephanie Murphy in Florida’s 7th Congressional Districts. This is the district that is the generally north and west suburban area of Orlando. It is mostly in Seminole County and has historically been conservative. In 2016 however with the help of her mentor Barack Obama the district was redistricted to make it more Democrat and then with seemingly unlimited money the long-term representative, John Mica was thrown out. The Democrat party had decided to invest whatever it takes to change the district into a Washington liberal area. As George Soros will tell you enough money will buy almost anything in politics.
Liggett seems to be a no-nonsense former police officer who believes in citizen safety. He also indicates he believes a congressperson should represent the interests of their own district instead of a national party line. The 2 candidates seem to be polar opposites so it could turn out to be quite a race. Attached is a link to a recent Orlando Sentinel article on Liggett. LIFA applauds Liggett’s stance on Illegal Immigration.
LIFA is a 501 C-3 and as such does not endorse any candidate. If Murphy would send it to us, we would be happy to post her candidate information as well.
